  • Kal (Y901), Age 5 years and 2 months

    Kal

Kal apparently never met a lap he didn't like.....and with his smaller size, he'll fit in yours just fine, thank you! This handsome boy is 5 years old and was previously neutered. Kal was turned in to our local shelter when his family moved. The family reported Kal is good with kids, cats, and other dogs. We got to spend time with him at the recent Pet-a-Palooza event and he was wonderful and welcoming to everyone who came up to greet him. He rides well in a car, too. With his lovable, quiet personality we don't think he will be hanging out in the Rescue very long. If you'd like to adopt Kal, please submit an online application. His adoption fee will be $150.

Kal has been with LVBR for 1 weeks.

  • Georgia (Y885), Age 6 years and 3 months

    Georgia

Georgia is a 6 year old recent mother, whose babies have now been weaned and adopted. She has been spayed and brought current on her shots, and she is now ready for own forever home. Look at her gorgeous face and one blue eye! Georgia is one of the sweetest, most well-behaved bassets we've ever seen. She's also very playful and gets along with everyone she meets. She was separated from her mate, Higgins--also available for adoption--while she raised her puppies. They would love a home where they can enjoy their empty nest together, but if you already have a buddy for Georgia to play with, she'd also be okay with that. If you'd like to give Georgia--or Georgia and Higgins as a pair--a forever home, please send us your online application. Georgia's single adoption fee will be $150; the joint adoption fee for Georgia and Higgins will be $250.

Georgia has been with LVBR for 2 weeks.

  • Higgins (Y886), Age 7 years and 3 months

    Higgins

The handsome Higgins is no professor, but he certainly has the same charm and confident demeanor of the classic movie and theater character. His Eliza Doolittle is "Georgia" (also available for adoption). Although they've been separated now for several months, he hopes to reunite with her in the right forever home. If he can't, however, he will certainly enjoy other dogs and be good with kids and felines also. Higgins is 7 years old and has only a hint of brown to go with his primarily black and white coloring. If you'd like to give Higgins (or Higgins and Georgia together) a forever home, please send us your online application. Higgins single adoption fee will be $150; the joint adoption fee for Higgins and Georgia will be $250.

Higgins has been with LVBR for 2 weeks.

  • Munchkin (Y898), Age 9 years and 1 months

    Munchkin

With Munchkin being returned to LVBR after 8 years, we set an adoption return record we never wanted to set. But we have always been committed to the lifetime placement of any dog we rescue. So, we welcomed this beautiful 9 year old girl back with open arms when her owner's home was lost to foreclosure. Munchkin is in great shape and a beautiful girl. She's very playful for her years and gets along with with everyone she meets, whether they have two or four legs. Right now, Munchkin is boarding with her buddy, Scamp, an 8 year old Schnauzer mix who came along with Munchkin from the same home. If you'd like to give Munchkin another chance at a forever home, or foster her her in the meantime, please submit an online application. Munchkin's senior adoption fee will be $100.

Munchkin has been with LVBR for 6 weeks.

  • Scamp (Y899), Age 8 years and 1 months

    Scamp

Scamp is not a basset, of course, but he was a victim of foreclosure along with his long-time buddy, Munchkin. LVBR could not take Munchkin and leave Scamp behind. He is an 8 year old Schnauzer mix with a larger-than-life, playful personality. He gets along great with other dogs, kids, and cats. Scamp is being boarded right now and would love to find a foster or forever home with his friend Munchkin. But he'd be okay with a home of his very own, too. Please let us know with an online application if you'd like to meet Scamp. His adoption fee will be $100.

Scamp has been with LVBR for 6 weeks.
